# Job Opportunity – NICU Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** October 12, 2026 **Location:** Webster, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day or night shift available; Days require 4 weekends (Saturday/Sunday), Nights require 5 weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)**Highlights:**- 42-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit caring for infants 22 weeks gestation and above- Patient ratios: Level III 2:1 or 1:1 dependent on acuity; Level II 3:1- Comprehensive equipment including radiant warmers, isolettes, ventilators, oscillators, JETs, CPAP, NIPPV, and high flow nasal cannula- EMR systems: CPN and Meditech- Supportive team environment with clinical nurse coordinator, transport RN, unit secretaries, and techs on each shift- Float opportunity to Mother Baby unit (managing newborns only)**Requirements:**- Current Texas RN license- BLS and NRP certifications required- Proficiency in safe medication administration and calculation- Experience with CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, PIV/PICC lines, and UAC/UVC lines- Competency in lab draws, NG/OG tube care, and feeding protocols- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate care for preterm infants and NAS scoring- Preferred: Experience with ventilators, JETs, cooling protocols, and surgical patients- Must demonstrate strong teamwork, receptiveness to feedback, and commitment to positive unit culture**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This position offers the chance to provide specialized care to our most vulnerable patients in a well-equipped, collaborative NICU environment.
